I discovered years ago that I love working in agriculture. Professionally and personally, too. At home, I’ve raised hogs and goats and just recently, I took on chickens. (I’ll keep you posted on how that adventure goes!) My passion for agriculture led me to a career as a seed specialist. For me, it was the perfect career choice and to this day, I can’t think of a better way to spend my time.

Recently, I had the pleasure of becoming a member of the Spectrum Non-GMO team. When I received the opportunity, I jumped at the chance. The idea of working with this company was truly exciting and I couldn’t wait to get started!

I thought I would share with you three reasons why I love working for this company.

1. A Serving Attitude – Spectrum first and foremost wants to serve growers with honest advice and support. Putting an emphasis on service means every conversation we have is designed to help you arrive at a solution that is rewarding. We want you to be proud of your corn crop and your seed company, too.
2. Not Your Average Seed Company – When I tell people I work for a seed company that only sells Non-GMO corn, I get a lot of questions. Most seed companies sell all kinds of seed and they certainly don’t focus on Non-GMO but Spectrum’s singular focus means every available resource goes into our Non-GMO corn seed. Non-GMO corn isn’t a priority for other companies but at Spectrum, it’s our only priority. How cool is that?
3. A Goal to Grow – Spectrum is growing! This company has been blessed to work with growers who have supported us and we are thankful for their loyalty. This year, our business has grown tremendously as more growers discover our Non-GMO corn seed. It’s exciting to be a part of this growing business.

A company that places a priority on service, that is ok with bucking tradition, and has big dreams to grow is my kind of company. I hope it can be your kind of company, too.
