Alme Brothers Dairy Farm located in Stoughton, WI

Blog by Brent Budreau, Seed Consultant

What does being a part of the Spectrum dealer team mean to you?

Took it on for ourselves for the seed and then for other non-gmo growers in the area. Wanted to be an unbiased opinion and be a dealer that did not have GMO in there lineup. Other dealers have GMO but it is in the back of the lineup.

How has the company changed over the years?

4 years as a dealer. They have been truthful with their words and have not seen a yield decrease. They got affiliated with the No-till farmer conference and they sponsored a very nice event.

Why do your customers like Spectrum Non-GMO?

They like the price of the corn. One customer said he would have money left over for two farm payments and land rent. A lot of people are already buying insecticide and pre-emerge. Roundup is a post spray and it ain’t cutting it anymore.

How long have you been a seed dealer/industry and what drives you every day?

We have never sold seed before. It is fun to talk to people. The non-gmo farmer has his own ideas.
